Salem Lutheran Aged Care specialises in providing residential aged care places in the Toowoomba region for older Australians who can no longer live independently at home and require 'low care' (formerly known as a hostel), 'high care' (formerly known as a nursing home) or dementia support.

Salem operates two services at separate addresses in Toowoomba – Salem Lutheran Aged Care and Northridge Salem.

Salem has 32 high care places and 69 low care places. Northridge Salem has 42 low care places and a secure 14 room Dementia unit.

Scented gardens, fish, birds, children and families help shape Salem's alternative residential aged care support program called the 'Eden Alternative' which is an international philosophy of care that seeks to empower aged care residents by partnering with local communities to cultivate close and continuing personal contact. The Eden Alternative is central in inspiring Salem residents to give as well as receive.

Both Salem services focus on community living and offer chapel areas, shared recreation spaces and a wide range of activities that encourage interaction, participation and involvement.
