Leinster Place is a 75 bed low and high care facility located at 3 Pearce Street North Rockhampton. Opened in November 1997 Leinster Place was designed to operate under a social model of care. The innovative design offers residents the privacy and independence of single room accommodation with lifestyle enhancing features such as: extensive gardens recreational area lounge areas and intimate dining settings. The design has attempted to replicate a normal streetscape with the accommodation clusters of 15 residents giving the appearance of individual houses although each is discreetly linked. One of the houses has been purposely designed as a 15 place secure dementia centre. Leinster Place has a Chapel for use by residents of all religious denominations with Pastoral Care services available to residents staff and their families.
